HIMALAYA

Around The Nanga Parbat
Nanga Parbat (8125 m.) is the western most bastion of the Himalayas. One has to travel completely around the globe to come back to the Himalayas to see such high peaks on our planet. The word 'Nanga' means naked and 'Parbat' is mountain. Nanga Parbat is also a killer mountain. Many climbers died on it before it was summated by the great Hermann Buhl without supplemental oxygen in 1953. His epic climb is still unsurpassed.

The journey traditionally called: 'Around Nanga Parbat' actually goes halfway around the mountain. It offers us stupendous sights of this Himalayan giant. The crossing of Mazeno Pass (5,399 m.) is a technical endeavor where ropes are fixed on steep pitches. The trip is for anyone who wants to get close to this legendary mountain and feel its presence deep down in one's soul! This is a challenging trek in Pakistan's Himalaya.

HUNZA, NANGA PARBAT, RUPAL TREK (14 Days)

Day 1 Arrive Islamabad, transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Fly to Gilgit, if flight cancelled drive to Chilas, hotel.
Day 3 Drive from GILGIT/Chilas to Karimabad, hotel.
Day 4 In Karimabad, hotel.
Day 5 Morning in Karimabad, afternoon drive to Gilgit, hotel.
Day 6 Drive by jeeps to Tarishing, camp. (3500 MT)
Day 7 Trek to Herlingkoefer Base camp, camp.
Day 8 Trek to Latoboi (Nanga Parbat base camp, camp.
Day 9 Day trip to Shaigiri and onward, back to Latoboi, camp.
Day 10 Trek back to Tarishing, camp.
Day 11 Drive by jeeps to Gilgit, hotel.
Day 12 Fly to Islamabad, if flight cancelled due to bad weather drive to Besham,
hotel.
Day 13 Free day in Rawalpindi or drive Besham to Rawalpindi, hotel.
Day 14 Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.


NANGA PARBAT FAIRY MEADOWS TREK (21 Days)

Day 3 Drive from GILGIT/Chilas to Gunar Farm, camp.
Day 4 Trek Gunar Farm to Jungal, camp.
Day 5 Trek Jungal to Khusto (3000 MT), camp.
Day 6 Trek Khusto to Fairy Meadown (3500 MT), camp.
Day 7 FAIRY MEADOWS (3500 MT)
Day 8 Trek to Bial CAMP (3700 MT) Nanga Parbat B.C.(4200 MT).
Day 9 Trek Nanga Parbat B.C. to High Camp Buldar (4700 MT).
Day 10 Climb BULDAR PEAK (5700MT) and back to Biale Camp.
Day 11 Rest Day Biale Camp (3700 MT)
Day 12 Trek Biale camp to High camp of Juliper, (4300 MT).
Day 13 Climb Juliper peak (5500 MT ) and trek back to Biale, Camp.
Day 14 Trek Biale Camp to Fairy Meadows. (3500 MT)
Day 15 At Fairy Meadows (3500 MT)
Day 16 Trek Fairy Meadows to Tato Village (2500), and drive to Raikot and then
drive to Gilgit, hotel.
Day 17 Drive to Karimabad, hotel.
Day 18 Morning in Karimabad, afternoon drive to Gilgit, hotel.
Day 19 Fly to Rawalpindi, if flight cancelled drive to Besham, hotel.
Day 20 Free day in Rawalpindi if fly or drive Besham to Rawalpindi, hotel.
Day 21 Transfer to airport for flight to onward destinations.

Kaghan Valley - Deosai Safari
 We use 4*4 soft top jeeps to explore the remote valleys of Himalayas and Karakorum, the two highest mountain ranges of the world. As jeeps take us deep into valleys, we even leave the jeeps for walk through the mountains to feel their gender. The best walk is to the Base Camp of Nanga Parbat. Enjoy the walk and atmosphere in the worlds highest Plateaus, The Deosai Plateaus. Cross Babusar Pass the Pass between Himalayas and Karakorum.

FAIRY MEADOWS TREK

This trek takes you via Tato & Beyal to the traditional base camp of Nanga Parbat, presenting most spectacular sites. Move on the Beyal Camp for spellbinding views of Raikot Glacier and Nanga Parbat before starting your return trek.

ITINERARY
Day 01 - GILGIT / TATO Pick up and jeep drive to Tato. From Raikot bridge follow a jeep road winding through the high mountains to Tato village. The steep and difficult ascent on a rocky trail will lead the group to a small hamlet of Tato which is comprised of few clay lofts scattered around. Tato is inhabited by the upright and fierce yet very hospitable Chilas whose origin is Kohistan. (altitude 3300 meters time 3-4 hours). Meals & overnight in the Camp.

Day 02 - TATO / FAIRY MEADOWS This day short hike to Fairy Meadows. The traditional base camp of Nanga Parbat, known as Fairy 'Meadows. The local people believe that this beautiful place is an abode of fairies and ghosts. The lush green plateau presents some of the most spectacular one can ever witness. One forgets the trying walk up to this magnificent site when one beholds a landscape of rushing torrents with a panoramic backdrop of the mighty Nanga Parbat. Meals & overnight in the Camp.

Day 03 - FAIRY MEADOWS / BEYAL CAMP After breakfast hike to Beyal Camp. Beyal Camp through beautiful thick Pine forest. As easy walk of 2-3 hours with spectacular views of Raikot Glacier on the left. Enjoy very close view of the mighty Nanga Parbat. Meals & overnight in the Camp.

Day 04 - 05 - BEYAL CAMP Two days free to explore the area. Meals & overnight in the Camp.

Day 06 - BEYAL CAMP / FAIRY MEADOWS After breakfast return trek to Fairy Meadows. Meals & overnight in the Camp.

Day 07 - FAIRY MEADOWS/GILGIT After breakfast decent to Tato and drive to Gilgit.

NANGA PARBAT FAIRY MEADOWS WITH HUNZA (10 Days)

Fairy Meadows, so named because of local superstition that fairies inhabit this spectacularly forested alpine meadow, is a wonderful setting from where to explore Nanga Parbat. One will drive from Gilgit to Beyal, and from there walk a few hours to Fairy Meadows. Shepherd's huts are scattered around the area, and clear water is plentiful coupled with the pine forests and the looming north face of Nanga Parbat, one can readily believe that fairies really do live in this alpine meadow. The next day's trek will lead to the base camp of this trek, Beyal, from where day excursions will be made to the German memorial to those killed in the 1937 expedition, and to the foot of Jiliper Peak. On the return, stop for the night at Fairy Meadows, before trekking to the road head and driving back to Gilgit. Then we go to Hunza to visit the forts of Altit and Baltit and off course to see some beautiful peaks over 7000m.

Day 6 Drive to Karimabad, hotel.
Day 7 In Karimabad, hotel.
Day 8 Morning in Karimabad, afternoon drive to Gilgit, hotel.
Day 9 Fly to Islamabad, if flight cancelled drive to Besham, hotel.
Day 10 Free day in Rawalpindi or drive Besham to Rawalpindi, hotel.
